Ala Moana Center ranks as one of the most visited and profitable shopping centers in the world. Located between downtown Honolulu and the world-famous Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Center is host to over 42 million shopping visits each year. On August 13, 2009, the center celebrated its 50th anniversary, having opened in 1959 just days before Hawaii’s statehood.
