The annual visit to the mall to meet Santa is a holiday tradition. The seasonal photo sets become the focal point of the mall's holiday celebrations. Promotions surrounding shopping and Santa offer brands extensive exposure during the mall's highest traffic times.
Over 120 GGP Malls nationwide feature Santa Sets and receive approximately 1.75 million visitors annually. On average, 10,000 people wait in line for an average of 23 minutes to visit Santa. Of those shoppers, approximately 66% buy something in the mall, spending an average of $23.20 on each purchase.
Brand activation, whether advertising, sampling, product placement or a combination thereof is a great way to reach a targeted audience and successfully communicate your brand's message to thousands of consumers who are in a buying state of mind.

Back To School Tour 2009 "The Scene"

DESCRIPTION: GGP's "The Scene" 2009 rocked its 10th anniversary with a 10-city tour that entertained teens while they shopped the latest in back-to-school trends. Every year, teens across the country look forward to The Scene stopping in their town. The tour included live music sponsored by Hot Topic as well as retailer discount giveaways for shoppers.
Back to School Tour 2010 "Shop 'Til You Rock"

DESCRIPTION: Captivating on the second busiest shopping time next to holiday, "Shop 'Til You Rock 2010" is a highly-anticipated, high-profile in-mall concert series and promotional program held exclusively at over 100 GGP malls during the summer of 2010.
A live, on-mall concert series held at over 100 malls rocks teens with performances by the hottest local and national bands. Teens experience the full rock star treatment through live events at each mall – packed with cool activities, national and local sweepstakes and on-site promotions.
With a celebrity spokesperson, GGP Malls along with our national partners and retailers are aligned with the most talked-about, blogged-about and tweeted-about teen concert series of the year.
These fully integrated on-mall concert events enable marketers to connect with teens through their passion for shopping and music, while garnering national brand awareness.

BIC Easy Glide Tour

DESCRIPTION: On July 16 & 17, GGP hosted the BIC Easy Glide tour at Perimeter Mall. Guests were encouraged to “feel the smoothness!” Brand ambassadors distributed BIC Velocity Pens with new Easy Glide Ink Technology, BIC coupons and BIC crossword puzzles to consumers. Visitors to the event were engaged to help solve a larger-than-life crossword puzzle and interact with the “smooth” object placed inside the BIC sensory spheres.
Cincinnati Art Museum

DESCRIPTION: The Cincinnati Art Museum promoted its Art of Sound exhibition at Kenwood Towne Centre via 100 food court table tents, 3 standees, 2 SkyBanners and 3 floor graphics. Since Kenwood is a popular destination in Cincinnati, this program has served as a great vehicle for communicating to the public.
Clorox Green Works

DESCRIPTION: In 2008, Northbrook Court and Park Meadows hosted the Clorox Green Works new environmentally safe cleaning product experience. The branded 10'x10' kiosktargeted the "chemical-avoiding" naturalist by having onsite demonstrations and sampling.
Easter Sets

DESCRIPTION: Each spring, over 125 GGP Malls host the Easter Bunny for visits and photo opportunities. During this family-centric, two week program, partners can sample, coupon, and demonstrate/display their product at the Easter Set. Flyball Dog Event

VENUE: Otay Ranch Town Center
YEAR: 2012
DESCRIPTION: Otay Ranch Town Center partnered with a local San Diego obedience club to host a Flyball Dog Event. The participating dogs raced through the 51-foot obstacle course, which consisted of four hurdles, and a flybox (spring loaded landing pad that releases a tennis ball). Teams of four dogs competed against each other in a timed relay race.
Glade Mall Tour

VENUE: Bayside Marketplace, Fashion Show, The Streets at Southpoint, The Mall in Columbia

DESCRIPTION: The Glade Mobile Tour visited five GGP Properties featuring an electric mobile vehicle where consumers could smell new products and fragrances from Glade. Shoppers also received coupons and a free Glade tote bag.
Harvard Pilgrim Advertising

DESCRIPTION: Harvard Pilgrim, the nation’s number one private health plan, was looking for a unique way to advertise their services and gain brand awareness. Their stairway advertising program at Natick Mall served as a distinctive format to both promote the company and drive sales.
Merrier Fridays

DESCRIPTION:
Merrier Shopping is all about removing the "angst" during holiday shopping. Connecting with our key consumer segment, women 25-54, this comprehensive program is designed to draw traffic, reward, and surprise our shoppers on busy Friday evenings leading up to Christmas Eve. Shoppers can visit our Holiday Redemption Zone to receive their $10 GGP Shop Etc Gift Cards (with a $100 spend level) or they might receive a special customer perk or surprise by our holiday ambassadors to enhance their shopping experience.

DESCRIPTION: Nationwide Insurance promoted themselves in GGP mall properties via in-mall advertising vehicles for a period of 28-weeks. Media placements included sky murals, light pole banners, escalator and elevator wraps.
Santa's Souvenir Book

Santa will be in 150+ GGP malls from November (arrival dates vary) through December 24th. This year's Santa keepsake will be a beautifully illustrated, holiday souvenir book. The 2010 Presenting Sponsor will receive a full-page, 4-color ad on the back cover and an opportunity to place a branded activity on the inside back cover of 1.5 million Santa Books.

St. Nick's Pet Pics

DESCRIPTION: This holiday season, GGP opens its doors to 4-legged shoppers for St. Nick’s Pet Pics. During this five day program at 100+ malls across the country, pet owners will be invited to bring their beloved pets to the mall to have their photos taken with Santa. This turn-key program offers sponsors targeted exposure to 25,000+ loyal pet owners as well as a variety of unique, interactive opportunities. St. Nick’s Pet Pics will launch on Monday, November 19th and continues each Monday until December 17th (five nights at each mall).

The Fabric of Our Lives Mall Tour

DESCRIPTION: Cotton set up an interactive display focusing on fashion and music that lived in the mall for a three-week period and included three weekends of events. The display brought The Fabric of Our Lives® ad campaign to life utilizing the likeness and commercials of Cotton’s featured campaign artists. Each display was located in a high-traffic area in the mall and in-mall signage surrounded the display so that the promotion was concentrated in an "area-dominated format". The display featured a closet filled with stylish cotton clothing similar to those featured in the TV spots and a recording studio.
