In 2008, GGP began work on a complete reconstruction of Cottonwood Mall near Salt Lake City. After demolition work began, progress was delayed due to changing market conditions. Plans for the future of Cottonwood Mall are being reexamined in light of new market conditions.

Macy's and T.G.I.Friday's continues to serve customers at the Cottonwood Mall site in Holladay, Utah.
