Coronado Center, New Mexico's largest two-level enclosed shopping center, is surrounded by an affluent resident base. Locals and visitors come to enjoy more than 130 retailers and four department stores, including ALDO, The Cheesecake Factory, H&M, Oakley and Sephora.

The Albuquerque region is home to a robust population that includes approximately 60,000 enrolled college students. Coronado Center is a popular destination among these shoppers, as well as other groups; more than 35% of all households in the Albuquerque metro area visit the center at least once every three months, making it the region's most visited retail destination. A 2014 renovation showcases all-new polished porcelain tile, enhanced interior and exterior lighting, updated entrances, a complete remodel of the food court and a new children’s play area.
